PRESENTATION
The Doctorate in Education Sciences is aimed at the training of researchers of the highest level who can respond in a novel way to the challenges of the Educational Management necessary to generate useful knowledge that contribute to solve the diverse and multiple national, regional and educational problems local; produce changes in the National Education system and build a democratic society, sustained by values that guarantee the collective well-being and social transformation of the population framed in the information society. The concept of Education refers to an interpretive or socio-critical paradigm that aims to explain educational organizations with schemes according to emerging realities. Study the typical transformations of the information society, the impact they generate in the world of education in the country and its institutions at all educational levels, and consequently, the changes in curricular models.
GRADUATE PROFILE
The graduate of this Program will be a professional capable of: Offering scientific, systematic and original contributions for the advancement of education and life in the organizations that comprise it. Direct scientific research projects in the educational field and organizations, leading research and work teams. Its purpose is directed towards:
Understand and interpret the national, regional and local educational problem, considering its variability and dialectical interaction with society.
Promote processes of transformation and change of the social reality of the surrounding environment.
Conduct research individually or collectively that allows you to produce knowledge, through rigorous work in the field of Education Sciences
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
To train professionals of high academic, scientific and humanistic level to understand, analyze and interpret critically, the national, regional and local educational problems in interaction with the globalized global context in order to lead and promote transformations and changes with the National Educational System, to contribute to insert the country into the new realities of the 21st century.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Curricular Structure of the Doctoral Program is made up of four (4) components:
General Component: It is made up of Advanced Seminars that offer the PhD student, a global vision of the philosophy, advances and trends of Education Sciences; realities and possibilities of the Educational System.
Research Component: It is aimed at consolidating the research competencies and attitudes defined in the Graduate Profile.
Elective Component: Each PhD candidate chooses the course of his choice in an offer of up to four electives that helps improve the research project.
Doctoral Thesis Component: It refers to the preparation of the Doctoral thesis for its subsequent presentation and approval in accordance with the regulations established by the University.
INTELLECTUAL PRODUCTION
Preparation of articles that are arbitrated by the university magazine and an oral or poster presentation presented by each doctoral student.
CREDITABLE ACTIVITIES
Creditable Activities are developed from the first period; It is here that the PhD participant is responsible for building his dossier as a researcher and productive knowledge man through the sharing of experiences related to his research work.
It is necessary to point out that a future doctor must accumulate a series of experiences that will be described below. These activities or experiences will be accredited to complement your experience as a researcher and to consolidate your thesis to be able to go to socialization and defense.
